The 3 Big Ideas
  1. Ensuring that students learn

  2. A culture of collaboration

  3. A focus on results

The 4 Key Questions
  1. What do we expect students to learn?

  2. How will we know if each student has learned it?

  3. How will we respond when students experience difficulty in learning?

  4. How can we extend and enrich the learning for students who have demonstrated proficiency?

TSD9 Collaboration Expectations

PLCs are how we engage in our work as educational professions. We expect TSD9 educational professionals to:

  • Prepare in advance for team meetings; analyze and bring evidence to student learning within the last 5 days

  • Actively engage - share evidence of students' strenths and celebrate success; identify patterns and misconceptions; plan for interventions and extensions

  • Review upcoming instruction including guaranteed standards, learning targets, and agreed upon common formative assessment (CFA or check for understanding)

  • Follow through on team commitments for instruction
