Planting Trees Near Highway 22

Mrs. Bernard's 6th Graders, East Elementary

On April 27th, Mrs. Bernard's 6th graders traveled into South Tillamook County to Forest Service land behind Rhoade's Pond to the east of Highway 22 to plant trees. The students were first given instructions on how to plant trees by Lori Duley of the Forest Service who also set up this trip. Next, students were paired up and given a number of trees to plant. Lori had staked the locations where the trees were to be planted.

It was a terrific day of tree planting and other activities!
