5th Grade Garden Project and Plant Sale Preparation

East Elementary's 5th grade students and teachers and other helpful staff have been working this year on a variety of natural resource projects. The photos below show students learning about marketing the rhododendron plants 5th graders are growing, building back garden fencing, building a compost bin, identifying and labeling rhododendrons in the school's greenhouse, and building birdhouses.

Students from Melissa Radcliffe's high school aquaculture class have been working with East's 5th graders this school year, and some of the students are pictured here also.
