Welcome to our web page for South Prairie Elementary! South Prairie School is located four miles south of Tillamook, Oregon, on the coastal Highway 101. One of three elementary schools in the Tillamook School District of 2,050 students, this building houses 293 students in grades K-3. As a Title I School-wide building we are able to meet all students' needs in reading and math. We are especially proud of scoring higher than the State Average on the Spring assessments in both Reading (88% met/exceeded) and Math (83% met/exceeded). The State of Oregon rates our school as an "Outstanding" School. We're implementing R.O.C.K.S. as our school motto to support Positive Behavior Support goals. R = Respect for Others Our classes work hard to earn tokens when we display these positive behaviors. so included our grade level standards, staff emails, Parent-Teacher Club information, school newsletter, and our outdoor science classroom called "Coon Creek."Strong parent involvement allows for many community activities during the year which support the school financially and academically.
